The Currant Shed specialises in beautiful & unique bespoke weddings, corporate and social events.
With the use of the Restaurant, the Private Dining Room, the Courtyard, Shottesbrooke Cellar Door and The Pickers Hut all on the estate, we can cater to your number capacity and dietary requirements.
Our McLaren Vale Getaways onsite accommodation can be booked in conjunction with weddings and other onsite events.

The Currant Shed Restaurant
The Currant Shed restaurant holds a maximum of 70 people for sit-down weddings and functions. In the warmer months, the area can be opened out onto the patio , which overlooks our lime grove, for 80 seated.
The Currant Shed Restaurant boasts exceptional views of the vineyards on one side, and our stunning lime grove on the other.
Original timber framework with drying rack holes are a distinguishing feature of the restaurant’s architecture and the dark polished floor complement locally made American Oak furniture giving the interior a sleek, Scandinavian vibe. Slender, modern cutlery, butter knives made from old barrel staves by our chef and water glasses made in-house from up-cycled wine bottles complete the aesthetic.
Private Dining Room
The private dining room holds a maximum of 30 for sit-down functions such as corporate meetings with a difference, or Christmas lunches.
The private dining room also boasts exceptional views of the vineyards and the Courtyard which can be used for pre-drinks on request. With beautiful natural light, Audio Visual facilities and the same exceptional service a the restaurant, the PDR is perfect for corporate meetings or large lunch gatherings.
Shottesbrooke Cellar Door
Our Cellar Door, Shottesbrooke Vineyards, is located just a short walk from our restaurant. Shottesbrooke can cater for events up to 250 guests and has excellent indoor and outdoor event spaces, including their beautiful barrel shed.
We recommend booking in a winery tour or wine tasting either before or after your dining experience to further complement your time on our estate.

The Pickers Hut
The Picker's Hut picnic area can comfortably accommodate 20 people (or more by prior arrangement), and is only $150 to hire for a private picnic! $50 is redeemable on wine from the Shottesbrooke Cellar Door.
Pre-book a Gourmet BBQ pack prepared exclusively by our chefs at The Currant Shed. Gourmet BBQ packs include meat, vegetable skewers, sausages, (all prepped to be cooked), three seasonal salads (prepared and ready to eat), condiments, bio-pak plates and cutlery.
Set among the vines and away from the Cellar Door (but close enough to use the facilities), The Picker's Hut is a picturesque, private location equipped with a BBQ, gas, fireplace, table and bench seats. The blinds can be pulled down on cool or windy days.
